Donarbon operates a number of major waste facilities across Cambridgeshire. Our main site and company headquarters is the Waterbeach Waste Management Park just off the A10 about 3 miles north of Cambridge. The waste management park contains the MBT Plant Open Windrow and In-Vessel Composting sites, Landfill, Construction and Demolition waste drop off, Recycling, skip hire and waste transfer drop off for council and trade waste.

Donarbon runs two further waste transfer facilities at Alconbury and March. The Alconbury site has waste transfer drop off for council and trade waste; the March site drop off for council waste only. Trade waste can also be dropped off at a site in Algores Way, Wisbech, run by our sister company Frimstone Ltd, also part of the Dickerson Group.

In addition Donarbon manages the 9 Household Waste Recycling Centres across Cambridgeshire, as part of the PFI Contract with Cambridgeshire County Council.

MBT Plant

Opened on November 9th 2009, the advanced Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) facility at Donarbon’s Waste Management Park in Waterbeach is the centrepiece of the 28-year PFI waste management contract between Cambridgeshire County Council and Donarbon. Donarbon will be responsible for treating the majority of household waste from Cambridgeshire and ensuring that councils meet their recycling and landfill diversion targets.
